Shipments have started

I've shipped about a half dozen orders this week and have a couple more almost ready to go out. I'll be putting an order in for some more acrylics today to finish that level up; hopefully next week.
That will leave The Dark One tier as the last remaining tier. I've made most of the handles for those and am now waiting for the shipment of shafts from Diesel. I talked to him at Gary Con and he said everything was on track for a June delivery. A little slower than I had hoped, but everything looks like it will be on track to close up on time.
I'll be having another product launch over the summer. The target date is to launch right before GenCon. It is on a "DM's Solution" (working title). For this project, I'm going back to some traditional jointery to make a DM Screen/whiteboard/tower/tray solution. The prototypes I brought to Gary Con looked great and one was given to Joe Manganiello to use and he was taking all over the place to use in his games.
Artwork by Charles Urbach and Diesel will again be featured and possibly even some sculpture work by Lisa Sell. I want to get this project done and in the books before I start releasing a lot of information, but I have to say that I think this next project really brings together a lot of skills I've learned over the years and early reviews are outstanding. I can't wait to launch it.

Hey everyone. I just wanted to drop a line real quick with an update.
I'm about to head out for my annual pilgrimage to Lake Geneva, WI to honor the man who started the wonderful game of D&D for us all. I'll be an exhibitor there, so if you are going to be there, please stop by and say hi. Unfortunately, I won't have any wands there (I don't sell wands at this convention).
I have been working on the project, though, and have almost all of the wand handles completed. I've done a couple shafts, but haven't done assembly on anything yet.
This weekend, I'll be able to talk to Diesel about the Cthulhu inspired shafts and get an update from him. He didn't think he'd have them ready for me to pick up at this time, but hopefully he'll have one that he can show me so I can make sure it is good to go.
While I do have several conventions over the next couple months, I am carving out enough time to get everything out to everyone before the project goal date. I'm going to be devoting a descent amount of time between next Monday and the next convention in order to knock these out.

Locking in orders

I'm going to start locking in orders this week. I should be shipping a few every week for the next several weeks. A little later than I had hoped, but everyone will get their wands long before the published date.

Project update 12/18

It has been a little while since my last update, so I thought I'd check in with everyone.
The Good
I have shipped the wands which qualify for Christmas shipping. They went out yesterday and I added a tracking number to those backers' notes section in Backerkit.
The Bad
Well, this isn't really bad, but I was hoping to be further along with the rest of the rewards. However, I've gotten absolutely slammed with Christmas orders over the last month. I bet I've made about 100 Hobbit inspired clocks and still have more to make. I need to get some more Wizard dice towers out today and naturally I'm running low on parts and materials and (because of the Christmas rush) am having problems getting those in.
This isn't to say that I haven't been thinking about the project, just that I've had to fulfill many more orders than I had planned on before the Holidays.
I'm projecting that this glut will be over next week. I won't be taking much time off to visit family (just a day or two around New Years, I think) and then starting at the first of the year, I'll be prioritizing fulfillment for this project.
If you are one of the few who haven't filled out your survey, it may be time for you to start doing so. For those who have filled it out, if you want to make any changes, you can do so until about Jan. 1 at which time I will start closing out surveys, getting the items made and shipped out.

Diesel sent me some new pictures. He's completed the sculpt and has made an initial wand. He doesn't foresee any problems casting these.
